His experience in the terrain, combined with his First Aid & Rescue certifications, allows him to assist in difficult situations, support injured hikers, and contribute to keeping the trails safe for everyone. Professional Skill
Dan Thomson has been connected to the Mauritian wilderness since the age of 8 years old. While most people know Mauritius for its beaches, Dan always felt drawn to the deep forests, rivers, and mountains of the island. From childhood, he preferred exploring nature over the coastline — sometimes alone, sometimes with friends — discovering hidden trails and untouched landscapes that shaped who he is today. This lifelong passion has grown into a mission: to show visitors the real, wild Mauritius that very few people ever experience.
